Quick Guide to TDS Readings
👉 0–50 ppm: Ideal drinking water (Reverse Osmosis, distillation).
👉 50–170 ppm: Common tap water / Carbon filtered water.
👉 200–400 ppm: Hard water (marginal).
👉 500+ ppm: High TDS (not recommended for drinking by EPA standards).
Pro Tip: While a TDS meter is great for checking filter performance, it doesn't detect bacteria, viruses, or pesticides. It only measures "solids."
